3rd Meeting
18th – 19th August 2023, Lunz/See

Welcome!

We cordially invite you to the 3rd Meeting of the Society of Mollusc Research Austria (MoFA) which will take place from 18-19 August 2023 in Lunz/See, Lower Austria.

Besides the scientific programme on Friday, there will be a malacological excursion around the area of Lake Lunz on Saturday.

We would be pleased if scientists from all phases of their scientific career could participate in the conference allowing a lot of communication. Contributions from the various fields of malacology are welcome!

As in the preceding MoFA meetings, the MoFA Junior Award will be awarded also this year for the best oral presentation as well as the best poster from participants in early career stages (e.g. Master, PhD studies).

Please spread this announcement to interested people in your area.
The conference language is English.

We ask for registration as early as possible in order to be able to plan realistically, but at latest by 30 June 2023.

We look forward to meeting you in the summer!

Deadline for registration and abstract submission: 30. June 2023

Contribution to expenses (e.g., coffee breaks, abstract book): MoFA members: EUR 15.-, non-members: EUR 20.-

For registration, please send an email to team@molluskenforschung.at with the following information:
• participation scientific day / participation excursion
• intended presentation (talk/poster/none)

Please prepare the abstract for your contribution as a word file according to the template abstract and send it to team@molluskenforschung.at.

Conference language is English.

Please make sure to book your accommodation in time as Lunz is a popular vacation resort! The organizing team is accommodated in the Zellerhof and we have pre-booked additional rooms there for conference participants without obligation (https://www.zellerhof-lunz.at/). If you are interested in staying at the Zellerhof as well, please indicate that you are part of the MoFA conference when making your reservation or contact us in this regard.

MoFA-Junior Award

The MoFA Junior Awards 2023 will be donated by the Society “Mollusc Research Austria” for presentations of participants in the early career stage.
